Well as I posted this past weekend (post) I found a way to migrate from Del.icio.us to Ma.gnolia. Actually the process is built in to Ma.gnolia (smart for them). So I did the migration and you know what, I like it. I find the interface much more modern and useful. I still can't get my daily post to appear in Blogger, but that never worked with Del.icio.us either.... so I think it is a Blogger problem with there GData API and Blogger API. But for now I won't worry. (I'm partially thinking getting a web-host with a virtual server so that I can host my own system (probably would use Trac, which provides wiki, db storage, version control and various other tools that are all developer happy). Anyways for now I'm on Ma.gnolia. I won't be deleting my Del.icio.us but don't expect updates. My Ma.gnolia link blog can be found at:

Migrate from Del.icio.us to Ma.gnolia
With one of two possibilities being the most likely outcomes of Yahoo, a. they become part of Microsoft, or b. they struggle around a while on their own and then become part of Microsoft, I knew I needed to migrate away from my Yahoo services. While as I mentioned in an earlier post, I basically new where I was moving my Flickr to Picasa and eventually my mail to Gmail. But I had no idea at the time what to do with my Del.icio.us bookmarks until now. I had read about other options, but most all seemed more to me like Digg or Reddit and while many use del.icio.us this way, I use it purely as a way to share bookmarks of useful sites and keep track of sites that I use on occasion but don't need in my local bookmarks. Now I don't know how I stumbled upon this (and no, no reference to StumbleUpon, I tried it and didn't like it), but I came across this post. Here is a helpful hint on how to ditch del.icio.us and move to Ma.gnolia in advance of a possible Microsoft take over of Yahoo....
