With one of two possibilities being the most likely outcomes of Yahoo, a. they become part of Microsoft, or b. they struggle around a while on their own and then become part of Microsoft, I knew I needed to migrate away from my Yahoo services. While as I mentioned in an earlier post, I basically new where I was moving my Flickr to Picasa and eventually my mail to Gmail. But I had no idea at the time what to do with my Del.icio.us bookmarks until now. I had read about other options, but most all seemed more to me like Digg or Reddit and while many use del.icio.us this way, I use it purely as a way to share bookmarks of useful sites and keep track of sites that I use on occasion but don't need in my local bookmarks. Now I don't know how I stumbled upon this (and no, no reference to StumbleUpon, I tried it and didn't like it), but I came across this post. Here is a helpful hint on how to ditch del.icio.us and move to Ma.gnolia in advance of a possible Microsoft take over of Yahoo....
